Funny Transport Stories

I lived in Leeds and there were loads of driving schools in Leeds, and since I was about to learn to drive I was going to need one.

I went online and searched on my browser for driving schools leeds, just as I thought at least 50 popped up on my screen I didn't just want to pick the first one that came up as motoring is a serious thing and the person who was going to teach me to drive was going to be responsible for the way I drove for the rest of my life.

Hours later I had finally decided on a driving school, the offered very competitive rates and they were sponsored by an insurance company and the national motoring club, well if the national motoring club were sponsoring them surely they had to be good.

I had saved up my birthday money for the past few years as I had always wanted to drive and couldn't wait my parents said that they would pay for my lessons but I would have to get my own car, they had told me driving was an expensive thing and should only be undertaken when you can afford to do so, as they is alot of running costs for a car.

They had told me that not only would I have to pay for my petrol but there was the monthly insurance premium to pay and then also yearly I would have to put my car through a service and mot and also pay the road tax. Wow I thought when they told me that's alot of money just to have the convenience of driving a car instead of catching the bus or walking somewhere.

Well now I could afford it, I was still living at home and had been working for 6 months now, the only bills I had go out was my mobile phone and its insurance and whatever keep my parents wanted. My parents had always brought me up to spend what you have and if you couldn't afford something then you just don't have it, so unlike many of my friends I didn't have store cards or credit cards to pay off.

My lessons were booked and the insurance was all sorted for my little car that I had bought last week, all I had to do now was to pass my test then there would be no stopping me, the world would be my oyster.
